Team Kilminster
The Team Kilminster page
The Team Kilminster page is here to highlight the riders flying the flag for Kilminster Equestrian.
Here you can see a cross section of Kilminster clients and their achievements.
In 2012, the sponsored rider for Kilminster Equestrian will be Nicki Strong:

Nicki is an amateur rider from Andover who competes in showjumping, cross country and dressage.
She will be wearing the Team Kilminster colours throughout 2012 in both unaffiliated competitions, as well as going British Eventing and British Showjumping.
She has a 10 year old 16.2 ISH called Caherpuca Star (Willo) by the famous Quick Star, who has spent most of his life as a showjumper, and a 4 year old 15.3 BSH called Lady Ruby, by Utopian Opposition. Nicki has had Ruby since she was 2, and backed and brought her on with the intention of going eventing.
Nicki has been a Team Kilminster rider since July 2011, and since then has taken home a number of rosettes, including wins for showjumping around 3'0" to 3'6" height, and cross country with Willo.

On the right is Mandy James on her horse 'Good Hopes Sisko.'
Mandy runs a livery yard just outside of Winchester and regularly competes in Dressage.
Sisko is a 17.2 Warmblood, who came from a showjumping background having been with Andy Austin, and since Mandy bought him in 2010 he has furthered his education and focussed on dressage - already finding himself in the ribbons.
Mandy suffered with nerves and was lacking in confidence, so since becoming a Team Kilminster rider early in 2010, we have worked on improving this and are currently training towards Novice level dressage, whilst still competing at Prelim.

This is Montina Munday riding 'Abbey Theatre' (Theo) round Barbury cross country ride 2010.
Montina is based in Andover and rides in Hurstbourne Tarrant. Theo is a 15.3 ex racer by Sadlers Wells. Montina is a Project Manager at Fujitsu services by day, and rides Theo and his 2 stable companions Boysie and Blue in her spare time. She regularly takes part in cross country rides, has hunted with the Vine and Craven, and shows Theo in Veteran and Retraining of Racehorses classes.
Since becoming a Team Kilminster rider in 2010, we have worked to improve Montina's position, further establish the horses flatwork, and hope to start competing at dressage next year.

On the right is Rebecca Ind riding George.
Rebecca is a freelance trainer who has a livery yard based in Tangley, just outside of Andover.
I met Bex whilst working at another riding school where she taught in 2009, and the proprieter asked me to train Bex for her BHS Preliminary Teaching Test - which she duly passed with flying colours!
Bex hunted and went showing with George, but is currently working on producing 'Mickey,' a 16h bay TB for dressage. She has done a few shows at unaffiliated level already, and we are continuing to develop their work so that Bex can make the step up to affiliated competition next year.
